Eagle County Community Center
This project provides a home for County government functions (Courts, Administration, Building & Planning, Sheriff, and Health & Human Services Departments) for Eagle County. Additionally, it offers a space for gathering of public and private events and groups (multi-purpose and Conference Rooms, Courtroom, Kitchen) for citizens of the Mid-Roaring Fork Valley.
The 15,000 square-foot buildings exterior forms and natural materials fit well within the sites open, ranch-like setting. The second phase of this project included planning and design of the remainder of the 128 acre site along the Roaring Fork River. The portion of the site along the river is designated as natural open space. A trail above the riparian area provides a pedestrian link to an interpretive nature center and regional park (active recreation area) on the north side of the site.
