Snowmass Residence, Old Snowmass, Colorado

This ‘rustic cabin’, appears to have been part of its pastoral western ranch setting for many decades. This special project is the result of an owner’s unique vision and the dedication and talent of the architect/builder/ interior designer team to translate it into a special place in time.

The initial guest cabin and garage (barn) are constructed entirely of reclaimed timbers and materials and incorporate an elaborate inventory of authentic, period interior elements to convey an accurate sense of historic context.

This guest cabin serves as the initial architectural solution, with historic reference to the tradition of western ‘ranch’ vernacular of organic structures developed over time and in direct response to the context of the site and environment.
