River House At Stage Road, Aspen, Colorado

This river front home captures and invites river views, sounds and sensations. Reno Smith’s additions were ingeniously and thoughtfully designed onto this home without affecting the character of the original house. A modernly designed Spa building is connected to the original house via a expansive, light filled breezeway. The garage/bedroom wing’s design clearly reflects the design of the original house. An existing pond serves as both a geothermal heating/cooling source and a swimming hole in the summer.
